Crooked Kingdom

“I would have come for you. And if I couldn’t walk, I’d crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we’d fight our way out together-knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that’s what we do. We never stop fighting.”

Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn’t think they’d survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they’re right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. My Thoughts:

MY BABIES ARE BACK! My goodness, reading this was like walking through the doors of home and suddenly being coddled by pure insanity. Crooked Kingdom was brilliant, thoughtful, evocative, and intoxicating. Not only did Crooked Kingdom do its predecessor,Six of Crows, justice, it stands tall on its own two determined feet and gives you a whole new adventure with a beloved cast of characters. I adored Six of Crows, and Crooked Kingdom destroyed me in the best way that a book possibly can.

I am completely obsessed with Six Of Crows, like… it’s kind of ridiculous. I have been eagerly counting down the days until I can get my greedy little hands on this gorgeous baby and now it’s so close I can practically taste it. Or maybe it’s just Nina’s waffles cloying my senses. Regardless, Six Of Crows is so fangirl worthy that not even years of squealing can do it justice. Seriously.
